Dutch Treat Designs presents these Family Rules that were adapted from an 1864 sampler - the original sampler is presented as well as two more variations with one having a more religious aspect - a little history about the sayings is included. The original sampler is 215x185 and coded for DMC 3013, 223, 221, while the adaptations are 123x123 each and coded for Caron Wildflowers 197, 219, 223, and DMC 310.
In order to finish the sampler as close to the original size, you would need to use 24 Ct. Congress Cloth or 25 Ct. Lugana over one thread. The adaptations can be stitched on any fabric of your choice
